Job summary

Select Medical in St. Charles, MO is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) for full-time day or night shifts (12 hours, 7-7). Compensation ranges from $19 to $23.17 per hour, with a $1.50 night shift differential and a $3,000 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or 3+ years relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

• Bathing patients using basin-less products and assisting with oral hygiene.
• Assist with hourly rounds and patient transport as needed.
• Move patients to treatment centers and assist with stretchers and wheelchairs.
• Maintain cleanliness of bedpans, urinals, and wheelchairs.
• Keep patient rooms clean and orderly; restock supplies as directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)

• BLS is required within 90 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
