Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in Saint Charles, MO is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) for full-time day or night 12-hour shifts (7-7). Compensation ranges from $19 to $23.17 per hour, with a $1.50 night differential and a $3,000 sign-on bonus.

The role includes patient bathing, oral hygiene, rounds, transport, and equipment upkeep. Minimum qualifications require a high school diploma or GED (or 3+ years of relevant experience); BLS is required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform bathing using basin-less products, oral hygiene, and hair care.
• Take hourly rounds and assist with transfers to treatment centers.
• Transport patients on stretchers and wheelchairs as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of bedpans, urinals, wheelchairs, and rooms.
• Assist with stocking supplies and other duties as assigned.

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients' rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
