Job summary

Select Medical’s Select Specialty Hospital - Springfield is seeking a dedicated Nursing Assistant (NA) to join our inpatient care team in Springfield, MO. This full-time day shift role offers competitive hourly pay and a $3,500 sign-on bonus, with opportunities for growth and continuing education.

You’ll participate in rounds, assist with patient bathing and mobility, and help maintain a safe, compassionate environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years).
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire.
• Preferred: hospital experience as a nursing assistant or related certification/experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform bathing for patients using basin-less products and assist with oral hygiene and feeding.
• Participate in hourly rounds and assist with patient transport as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of instruments and equipment and keep rooms orderly.
• Manage unit stock levels of supplies as directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients' rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
