Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital York, a part of Select Medical, seeks a Nursing Assistant to join our post-ICU care team. You will assist with bathing, rounds, and patient transport in a 7am–7pm full-time schedule with a competitive hourly rate and a $3,000 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, or relevant work experience (3+ years).
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Preferred: hospital experience or CNA certification or related field experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient bathing using basin-less products and assist with oral care and feeding.
• Participate in hourly rounds to monitor patient needs.
• Transport patients to treatment centers as needed and assist with moving patients in wheelchairs or stretchers.
• Maintain cleanliness of instruments and equipment such as bedpans and urinals.
• Keep patient rooms clean and orderly.
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies per direction.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Schedule: 7am-7pm, Full TimeCompensation: $19.70-$24.00 per hour

Pay based on years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)

• BLS is required within 90 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
