Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital York, part of Select Medical, is seeking a Nursing Assistant for the night shift (7p–7a) on a full-time basis. The role includes assisting with bathing, rounds, transport, and patient care while supporting a compassionate, patient-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years).
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire.
• Preferred: hospital experience as a nursing assistant, NA certification or related field (e.g. medical assistant, RN student actively enrolled).

Responsibilities

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair.
• Participate in hourly rounds.
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
• Maintain the cleanliness of instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs.
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition.
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
