Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital Harrisburg is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) for day shifts. The role offers a $3,000 sign-on bonus and compensation ranging from $19.70 to $24.00 per hour, based on experience, with pay based on years of experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years).
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire.
• Preferred Qualifications: Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (e.g. medical assistant, RN student).

Responsibilities

• Perform bathing, oral hygiene, and hair care for patients.
• Participate in hourly rounds.
• Transport patients to treatment centers and assist with moving patients.
• Maintain cleanliness of instruments and equipment such as bedpans and wheelchairs.
• Keep patients' rooms clean and orderly.
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients' rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned
