Select Specialty Hospital - Erie is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) for a Full-time Day Shift (7:00am–7:00pm) in Erie, PA. Compensation ranges from $18.05–$22.00 per hour based on experience.

The role focuses on compassionate, patient-centered care and supports career growth and personal well-being. Responsibilities include bathing, hygiene, oral care, rounds, and assisting with patient transport and equipment maintenance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or related work experience (3+ years).
• BLS required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient bathing and hygiene with basin-less products, oral hygiene, and hair care.
• Assist with patient transport to and from treatment centers; help transporters with transfer of patients on stretchers, wheelchairs.
• Take and participate in hourly rounds to monitor patient needs.
• Keep patient rooms, bedpans, urinals, and equipment clean and organized.
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies as directed.

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
