Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital York is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) for night shift (7p-7a) at our York location. You will perform patient bathing, oral care, feeding, and assist with mobility and rounds in a high-quality post-ICU care setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or relevant work experience (3+ years).
• BLS required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient bathing, oral hygiene, oral feeding and hair care.
• Assist in hourly rounds.
• Transport patients to and from treatment centers and help move them in wheelchairs.
• Maintain cleanliness of rooms and equipment and stock levels.

Compensation: $19.70-$24.00 per hour

Pay Based On Years Of Experience.

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
