Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in Kansas City, KS is seeking a dedicated Nursing Assistant (NA) to join our team. This full-time position works from 7 PM to 7:30 AM and offers a $2,500 sign-on bonus, along with comprehensive health benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage. As a critical illness recovery hospital, we provide vital care to patients during their recovery journey and our Nursing Assistants play an essential role in delivering compassionate patient care.

The ideal candidate will hold a high school diploma or GED and have prior experience as a nursing assistant. Responsibilities include assisting with patient care, maintaining cleanliness, and participating in patient transport as required.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED or relevant work experience.
• Certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field required.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care including bathing, hygiene, and feeding.
• Participate in hourly rounds to check on patient needs.
• Transport patients and assist with mobility.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and patient rooms.
• Ensure adequate stock of supplies.

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications
