Job summary

SSM Health Rehabilitation Hospital in Bridgeton, MO is seeking a Nursing Assistant for full-time day shifts (6:45a-7:15p) with every 3rd weekend rotation. Responsibilities include obtaining vital signs, assisting with daily patient care, delivering meals, and helping with mobility and transfers.

A $2,500 sign-on bonus is offered, along with comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities. Minimum qualifications include Certified BLS or completion within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Hospital experience and CNA certification preferred depending on state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs and patient data.
• Assist patients with daily activities, bathing, oral care, and grooming.
• Deliver meals and document oral intake, including supplements.
• Turn and reposition immobile patients and assist in mobility programs.
• Answer call lights and support activities that contribute to patient well-being.
• Transport patients to treatment areas as needed.

$19-$24.10 based on years of experience +$2 night shift diff. and $1 weekend diff

• Assisting patients with personal and daily care, such as bathing (bed bath, chair at sink, tub and shower), oral hygiene, shaving and hair care.
• Delivering meals and snacks, feeding patients who are unable to feed themselves and documenting oral intake, including supplements.
• Turning and positioning immobile patients safely while maintaining proper body alignment; participating in mobility program.
• Answering patient call lights and performing services that add to the physical well-being of the patient.
• Transportation of the patients to designated areas, such as to and from various treatment centers.

Minimum Qualifications

• Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Hospital experience, certification as a nursing assistant preferred (maybe required based on some state requirements)
• Post offer employment testing (POETs) are completed as part of the onboarding process and are to be completed before an employee's first day of work.*
