Job summary

SSM Health Rehabilitation Hospital in Lake Saint Louis, MO seeks a Nursing Assistant (PRN Night) to assist with patient care, vital signs, and daily activities. Schedule: 6:45-7:15, minimum 4 shifts per 6 weeks. Compensation: $20.50/PRN with $2 night differential and $1 weekend differential.

Walk-in interviews scheduled at the hospital location. The hospital emphasizes comprehensive benefits including PTO, medical plan, 401(k) with company match, RN scholarship program, life and disability

Qualifications

• Certified BLS or complete within 90 days of employment.
• High school diploma preferred or equivalent.
• Hospital experience preferred.
• Post offer testing (POETs) required as part of onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Obtaining vital signs, height, weight and demographic data.
• Assisting patients with personal and daily care (bathing, oral hygiene, grooming).
• Delivering meals and snacks and documenting oral intake.
• Turning and positioning immobile patients and aiding mobility programs.
• Responding to patient call lights and supporting patient well-being.
• Transporting patients to treatment centers as needed.

• Delivering meals and snacks, feeding patients who are unable to feed themselves and documenting oral intake, including supplements.
• Turning and positioning immobile patients safely while maintaining proper body alignment; participating in mobility program.
• Answering patient call lights and performing services that add to the physical well-being of the patient.
• Transportation of the patients to designated areas, such as to and from various treatment centers.

Minimum Qualifications

• Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Hospital experience, certification as a nursing assistant preferred (maybe required based on some state requirements)
• Post offer employment testing (POETs) are completed as part of the onboarding process and are to be completed before an employee's first day of work.*
