Job summary

Qualifications

• Active NAI listing with NC Department of Health & Human Services is required.
• Active NAII listing with North Carolina Board of Nursing is required.
• Current American Heart Association HeartSaver or higher certification is required.
• De-escalation training must be completed within 90 days of employment if not current at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Participates in quality Improvement (QI) Activities and data collection.
• Assists in direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Follows hospital and unit policies to provide quality patient care and maintain licensure.
• Maintains teamwork and effective communication with care team and patients.
• Performs assigned duties such as EKGs or venipuncture as trained and allowed by ECU Health policies.
