Job summary

Corewell Health in Troy Hospital is seeking a part-time Nursing Resource Pool observer to support patient care during night shifts from 7 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. You will work under the direction of a Registered Nurse, assisting with safe patient transport and documentation in the EMR.

The role emphasizes constant observation duties for select patients and requires a high school diploma with CNA experience being preferred; BLS certification is expected within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• CNA certification preferred or in progress.
• Experience in hospital or long-term care settings is advantageous.
• BLS basic life support certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to observe patients and respond quickly as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care per the plan of care and unit policy under RN supervision.
• Safely transport patients via wheelchair or stretcher as required.
• Serve as an Observer for patients needing constant observation, in person or via remote monitoring.
• Perform receptionist and clerical duties to support unit efficiency and EMR documentation.
