Job summary

Corewell Health in Troy, MI is seeking a part-time Nursing Support role within the Nursing Resource Pool. You will assist with direct patient care under RN supervision and help manage supplies, equipment, and unit priorities across shifts.

The position requires a high school diploma, CNA training/experience, and BLS certification. Night shift hours from 7 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. with 24 weekly hours, including every third weekend, are offered with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of nursing assistant program and/or one year of nursing assistant experience.
• American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support required.
• Current CNA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care assignments as delegated by and under the direction of a registered nurse.
• Clerical/manages supplies/equipment in designated care areas.
• Provides care to the patient according to the plan of care, unit routine and hospital policy.
• Documents in electronic medical record.
• Acts as a receptionist and organizes daily work assignment based on unit priorities.
• Organizes daily work assignments based on unit priorities.
• Actively participates in safety initiatives and risk mitigating measures where appropriate and completes all position and unit safety related competencies and requirements on a timely basis.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
