Job summary

Corewell Health is seeking a part-time Float Pool Nurse at Royal Oak Hospital. You will support 36+ inpatient units, providing patient care per plan and assisting with observation needs. The role includes safe transport, clerical duties, and accurate EMR documentation.

The position emphasizes flexibility, teamwork, and coverage across adult, pediatric, and women's health units with a close-knit culture. An AHA/Red Cross BLS and CNA credentials are preferred but not always required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous hospital or nursing home experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support (AHA/Red Cross) required.
• Current CNA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care per plan of care and unit policy.
• Safely transport patients by wheelchair or stretcher and document services.
• Serve as an Observer for patients needing constant observation via in-person or remote monitoring.
• Perform receptionist and clerical duties to support unit operations.
• Document care provided in the electronic medical record.
