Job summary

Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC is hiring for a Nurse Aide to join the Nursing Float Pool. The role is full-time night shift 7 pm–7 am, 36 hours per week, at Carolinas Medical Center: Mercy.

You will assist RNs, document in EMR, perform rounds, collect specimens, and support admissions and transfers under supervision. A High School diploma or GED is required, and state Nurse Aide licensure plus BLS within 45 days.

Qualifications

• Education required: High School diploma or GED/HSED.
• No prior experience required.
• Current Nurse Aide in good standing with the state registry; BLS certification within 45 days.
• Strong communication and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with daily patient care including bathing, hygiene, feeding, and mobility.
• Document vital signs and patient data in EMR.
• Support admission, transfer, and discharge under RN supervision.
• Collect specimens and perform point-of-care testing as directed.
• Handle patient transport, positioning, and dietary needs per RN guidance.
• Maintain skin integrity and manage patient supplies and equipment.
