Essentia Health Duluth - Miller Dwan Medical Center is seeking a compassionate Nursing Assistant to join the Inpatient Rehab Unit. You will provide personal hygiene, assist with nutrition, and help maintain a safe, healing environment.

This 0.8 FTE role offers day, evening, and night shifts on a rotating schedule, including every other weekend. Requires completion of nursing assistant program, state registry, and BLS eligibility.

Qualifications

• 6 months nursing assistant experience.
• Completion of one semester of clinical rotations within an accredited nursing program.
• Enrollment into Essentia Health Nursing Assistant Foundation Course within 30 days of hire
• Verifiable completion of a recognized nurse aide training program
• Current registration on applicable state nursing assistant registry

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene care and assist with nutritional needs.
• Provide comfort care and other assistance to patients.
• Properly and safely transfer patients.
• Take vital signs and complete recordkeeping.
• Recognize and promptly report changes in patient condition to the RN.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment to promote healing.

Building Location: Building D - Miller Dwan Medical Center - EH Duluth Department: 2813340 INPATIENT REHAB - IRF Job Description: Become part of Essentia’s accomplished team in Duluth, Minnesota on the beautiful shores of Lake Superior. We are looking for a Compassionate Nursing Assistant to join our Inpatient Rehab Unit at Essentia Health Duluth - Miller Dwan!

Education Qualifications

• 6 months of nursing assistant experience
• Completion of one semester of clinical rotations within an accredited nursing program
• Enrollment into the Essentia Health Nursing Assistant Foundation Course within 30 days of hire
• Verifiable completion of a recognized nurse aide training program
• Current registration on applicable state nursing assistant registry

Work Schedule

• 64 hours every two weeks
• Every other weekend
• Rotating 8 Hour Shifts
• Day Shift: 6:00am - 2:30pm
• Evening Shift: 2pm - 10:30pm
• Night Shift: 10pm - 6:30am

Responsibilities

• Providing personal hygiene care, assisting with nutritional needs
• Providing comfort care and other assistance
• Appropriately and safely transferring patients
• Taking vital signs and completing recordkeeping
• Recognizing and promptly reporting changes in patient condition to the RN
• Maintaining a safe, clean environment for patients to promote the healing process.

Licensure/Certification Qualifications

• BLS certified or ability to become certified within 1 month from hire date
• If qualified through the Essentia Health Foundation Course East Market (Excluding WI): Completion of Essentia Health Nursing Assistant Foundation course within 90 days of hire
