Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Weirton is seeking a Nursing Assistant (CNA/NA) to provide compassionate patient care on a 6:00PM-6:30AM PRN/per diem basis. The role offers a $20.00/hour pay with weekend differentials and a $1,250 sign-on bonus.

Start with a comprehensive orientation and potential advancement opportunities within a large hospital network. Responsibilities include patient bathing, hourly rounds, transport assistance, and maintaining clean, stocked patient areas.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years).
• Requires hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant).
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair.
• Participate in hourly rounds.
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs.
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition.
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
