Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Pittsburgh invites qualified Nursing Assistants (CNA/NA) to join our PerDiem/PRN team. This 12-hour shift role offers days & nights, with a $19.00/hour base pay and weekend differentials. We provide extensive orientation, growth opportunities, and a sign-on bonus of $1,500.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or 3+ years of relevant work experience.
• Hospital experience as nursing assistant preferred.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Bathing patients using basin-less bath products and assisting with oral hygiene.
• Participate in hourly rounds and monitor patient safety.
• Transport patients to treatment centers and assist with wheelchair transfers.
• Maintain cleanliness of instruments, bedpans, urinals, and wheelchairs.
• Keep patient rooms clean and organized; manage stock levels as directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Compensation: $19.00 per hour, plus competitive shift differentials for weekends

• Participate in hourly rounds


• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs


• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs


• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition


• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed


• Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)


• Requires hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant)


• BLS is required within 90 days of hire
