Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in Weirton is seeking a compassionate Nursing Assistant (CNA/NA) to support patient care during a 6:00AM-6:30PM shift, PRN. The position offers a $1,250 sign-on bonus and weekend differentials.

You will perform bathing, oral care, feeding assistance, and mobility tasks, and participate in hourly rounds while helping transport patients when needed. The role emphasizes cleanliness, stocking supplies, and teamwork in a busy inpatient setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• Requires hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Bathing patients using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients' rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Location: Select Specialty Hospital - Weirton
Schedule: 6:00AM-6:30PM, PRN/Per Diem, 4 12-hour shifts in a 6 week period
Compensation: $20.00 per hour, plus shift differentials for weekends
Sign On Bonus: $1,250
