Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Morgantown in Morgantown, WV is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) for PRN/Per Diem shifts (12-hour). The role focuses on compassionate patient care, bathing, hygiene, and daily activities.

You will participate in hourly rounds, assist with transport, keep rooms and equipment clean, and support a dedicated care team. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED or relevant experience; BLS within 90 days.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform bathing, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair.
• Participate in hourly rounds.
• Transport patients to treatment centers and assist with mobility.
• Maintain cleanliness of instruments and equipment such as bedpans and wheelchairs.
• Keep patient rooms clean and orderly.
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• Requires hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire
