Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Boardman in Youngstown, OH is seeking a Nursing Assistant (CNA/NA) for PRN/Per Diem night shifts. Compensation is $23.50 per hour with weekend differentials. Expect orientation, potential advancement, and benefits including 401k eligibility after 1,000 hours in the first year.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform bathing, oral care, feeding and hair care for patients.
• Participate in hourly rounds.
• Transport patients to treatment centers and assist with wheelchairs and stretchers.
• Maintain cleanliness of instruments and equipment.
• Keep patient rooms clean and orderly.
• Maintain unit stock of supplies and equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Location: Select Specialty Hospital - Youngstown, OH (Boardman)

Schedule: PRN/Per Diem, 12-hour shifts, Night Shift

Compensation: $23.50 per hour, plus shift differentials for weekends

Responsibilities

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair

• Participate in hourly rounds

• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs

• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs

• Keep patients' rooms in clean and orderly condition

• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed

• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)

• Requires hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant)

• BLS is required within 90 days of hire
