Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in McKeesport is hiring a Nursing Assistant (CNA/NA) for PRN/night shifts. Compensation starts at $19.00 per hour with night/weekend differentials and a $1,500 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or 3+ years of related work experience.
• Certification as Nursing Assistant or equivalent hospital NA experience preferred.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with bathing using basin-less products and oral hygiene.
• Participate in hourly rounds and monitor patient comfort.
• Transport patients to treatment centers and assist with movement of stretchers/wheelchairs.
• Maintain cleanliness of instruments, bedpans, urinals, and wheelchairs.
• Keep patient rooms clean and orderly; stock supplies as directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs

• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• Requires hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire
