Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Weirton is seeking a Nursing Assistant (CNA/NA) to join our team on the 6:00PM-6:30AM shifts, PRN/per diem, with four 12-hour shifts every six weeks. Compensation is $20.00 per hour plus weekend differentials; a $1,250 sign-on bonus is offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR 3+ years of relevant work experience.
• Requires hospital experience as a nursing assistant or CNA/NA or related field (i.e. medical assistant).
• BLS certification is required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with bathing using basin-less products, oral hygiene, feeding and hair care.
• Conduct hourly rounds to monitor patient needs.
• Transport patients to treatment centers and assist with moving patients in wheelchairs or stretchers.
• Maintain cleanliness of instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs.
• Keep patient rooms clean and orderly and restock supplies as directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervising staff.

Location: Select Specialty Hospital - Weirton

Responsibilities

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair

• Participate in hourly rounds

• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs

• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs

• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition

• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed

• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)

• Requires hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant)

• BLS is required within 90 days of hire
