Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Boardman in Youngstown, OH is seeking a Nursing Assistant (CNA/NA) for PRN/Per Diem night shifts. Compensation is $23.50 per hour, plus weekend differentials.

An extensive orientation is provided to support a smooth transition into our critical illness recovery setting. Responsibilities include bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, rounds, patient transport, and maintaining clean rooms and equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or 3+ years relevant work experience.
• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant or CNA certification required, or related field experience (e.g., medical assistant).
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and hair care.
• Participate in hourly rounds.
• Transport patients to treatment centers and assist transporters with stretchers and wheelchairs.
• Maintain cleanliness of instruments and equipment (bedpans, urinals, wheelchairs).
• Keep patient rooms clean and orderly.
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• Requires hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant)
