Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital – McKeesport is seeking a Nursing Assistant (CNA/NA) for PRN/per diem night shifts. Compensation is $19.00 per hour with shift differentials for nights and weekends, plus a $1,500 sign-on bonus. Free parking is available.

The NA will assist with bathing, oral care, rounds, transport patients, and maintain clean rooms and equipment. Requires hospital experience or CNA certification and a high school diploma/GED; BLS within 90 days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED OR 3+ years of related work experience.
• Hospital experience as a Nursing Assistant or CNA certification considered.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Bathing patients using basin-less methods and assisting with oral care and feeding.
• Participate in hourly rounds.
• Transport patients to treatment areas and assist with moving them.
• Maintain cleanliness of instruments, bedpans, urinals, and wheelchairs.
• Keep patient rooms clean and orderly; restock supplies as directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• Requires hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire
