Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Youngstown, OH is seeking a Nursing Assistant (CNA/NA) for PRN/Per Diem, 12-hour shifts. Compensation is $23.50 per hour with weekend differentials.

The hospital provides oriented onboarding to help you transition into our critical illness recovery environment. You will perform direct patient care, participate in hourly rounds, assist with transfers, and help keep rooms and equipment clean.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or relevant work experience (3+ years).
• Requires hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant, or experience in a related field (e.g., medical assistant).
• BLS certification is required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care activities such as bathing, oral hygiene, oral feeding, and hair care.
• Participate in hourly rounds and monitor patient status.
• Transport patients to and from treatment areas as needed and assist with moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
• Maintain the cleanliness of equipment and supplies and keep patient rooms clean and orderly.
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
