Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in Charleston, WV is seeking a Nursing Assistant (CNA/NA) for night shift on the 7-7 schedule. The role offers a $5,000 sign-on bonus and pay of $16.00–$19.50 per hour with night/weekend differentials.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Bath patients using basin-less bath products and assist with oral hygiene and hair care.
• Take hourly rounds and ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Transport patients to treatment areas and assist in moving patients using stretchers and wheelchairs.
• Maintain cleanliness and order of patient rooms and equipment.
• Assist with inventory and stocking of supplies as directed.

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients' rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
