Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Charleston (inside CAMC) seeks a Nursing Assistant (CNA/NA) to join the team. The role is based on a 7-7 day shift with compensation between $16.00 and $19.50 per hour, plus shift differentials for nights and weekends, and a $5,000 sign-on bonus.

Responsibilities include bathing patients, assisting with rounds, transporting patients, and maintaining cleanliness of rooms and equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or relevant work experience (3+ years).
• BLS required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Bathing patients using basin-less methods and assisting with oral care and feeding.
• Participate in hourly rounds.
• Transport patients to treatment centers and assist with transfers.
• Maintain cleanliness of bedpans, urinals, wheelchairs, and equipment.
• Keep patient rooms clean and orderly.
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)

• BLS is required within 90 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
