Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital — Laurel Highlands (inside Latrobe Hospital) is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA/CNA) for the night shift. This full-time role offers a competitive hourly wage, a $5,000 sign-on bonus, and comprehensive orientation.

You will perform patient bathing, oral hygiene, rounds, transport assistance, and help maintain clean, stocked rooms while advancing your skills through our clinical ladder and company-funded education programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or 3+ years relevant work experience.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Hospital experience as a Nursing Assistant or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide bathing, oral hygiene, and basic patient care.
• Perform hourly rounds and assist with patient transport as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and stock levels of patient rooms and equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients' rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire
• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
