Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Augusta is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our nights team in Augusta, GA. This full-time, overnight role runs 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. with compensation ranging from $17.23 to $21.00 per hour.

As a CNA, you will assist with bathing, mobility, daily care, rounds, and transport patients as needed while upholding high standards of compassionate care. BLS within 90 days and hospital CNA experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (or equivalent work experience).
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Hospital CNA experience or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with bathing using basin-less methods and basic care.
• Perform hourly rounds and respond to patient needs.
• Transport patients to treatment areas and assist with wheelchair/stretcher transfers.
• Maintain cleanliness of instruments, bedpans, urinals, and wheelchairs.
• Keep patient rooms clean and organized; restock supplies as directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the team.

Responsibilities

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire
• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
