Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in Johnstown is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA/CNA) to provide compassionate patient care on a full-time day shift. You will assist with bathing, feeding, hygiene, and mobility, while supporting others through hourly rounds and patient transport as needed.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED (or 3+ years of related experience) and BLS within 90 days. We offer a strong orientation and growth opportunities within a nationwide organization.

Qualifications

• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient care such as bathing, oral hygiene, oral feeding, and hair care.
• Participate in hourly rounds.
• Transport patients to treatment centers and assist transporters with moving patients.
• Maintain cleanliness of bedpans, urinals, wheelschairs and other equipment.
• Keep patients' rooms clean and orderly.
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Compensation: $16.50 - $22.21 per hour, plus shift differentials for weekends
Sign-On Bonus: $3,000

• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
