Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital Morgantown, inside Mon Health on the 4th floor, is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA/CNA/PCT) for night shifts. Compensation is $17.23-$21.00 per hour plus shift differentials; a $5,000 sign-on bonus is offered.

You will provide patient care, assist with activities of daily living, and participate in hourly rounds. The hospital emphasizes career growth through orientation, RN scholarship, tuition reimbursement, and a clinical ladder.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or 3+ years of related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with bathing, oral hygiene, and hair care.
• Participate in hourly rounds.
• Transport patients to treatment centers and assist with transfers.
• Maintain cleanliness of instruments and equipment.
• Keep patient rooms clean and organized.
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)

• BLS is required within 90 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
