Job summary

Advocate Health Care in Kenosha, WI is seeking a part-time Nursing Assistant to support the Med Surg team on the 5th Floor. You will work 2 12-hour shifts on weekdays from 0630 to 1900, with rotating weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily patient care, taking vitals, documenting in EMR, and helping with admissions and transfers under the supervision of an RN. Must have a GED/HSED or high school diploma and BLS certification within 45 days.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to set priorities.
• Nurse Aide in good standing as indicated with the State Registry.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with daily patient care including bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, activity orders and ambulation.
• Record blood pressures, TPRs, I&O, daily weights and other patient data; document in EMR.
• Perform rounding and communicate observations and needs to RN.
• Assist with admission, transfer and discharge processes; room setup and orientation.
• Maintain stock and clean equipment; manage patient supplies and linens.
