Job summary

Advocate Health's Kenosha hospital seeks a Nursing Assistant (CNA) for 36 hours per week on a 12-hour Friday-Sunday schedule. The role supports RN‑led daily patient care, including hygiene, feeding, mobility, and basic assessments, with documentation in the EMR.

You will assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges under RN supervision, collect specimens, stock the nursing area, and help maintain patient safety and comfort in a fast‑paced inpatient setting.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to set priorities.
• Team members will maintain annual educational requirements for hospital based certifications.
• Knowledge of infection prevention practices is expected.

Responsibilities

• Assists RN with daily care of patients including bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, activity orders and ambulation.
• Measures and documents vital signs and patient data; documents in EMR.
• Performs rounding and communicates observations to RN.
• Participates in admission, transfer and discharge processes under RN supervision.
• Collects specimens and performs point-of-care testing as indicated.
• Performs errands and manages nursing area stock; cleans equipment and work areas.
• Positions and transports patients and assists with nutrition-related tasks.
• Maintains skin care and use of required patient supplies.
• Remains compliant with infection control policies and uses protective attire as needed.
