Job summary

Northeastern University's School of Nursing seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to serve as a full-time Nursing Academic Coach for the ABSN program. You will provide individualized and group tutoring to accelerate student success and clinical reasoning in a fast-paced academic setting.

The role emphasizes nursing education, collaboration with ABSN faculty, and flexibility for evenings/weekends. A BSN degree and RN licensure are required, with 5+ years of clinical experience preferred.

Qualifications

Current, active RN license in the state of employment.
BSN from ACEN/CCNE-accredited program.
Minimum of 5 years of clinical nursing experience.
Demonstrated expertise in nursing fundamentals, pharmacology, pathophysiology, and clinical reasoning.
Strong communication skills; ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
Experience working with adult learners and diverse student populations.
Proficiency with learning management systems and educational technology.
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

Provide one-on-one and small group tutoring for ABSN students across nursing courses.
Develop individualized study plans for students needing extra academic support.
Teach study strategies, time management, and NCLEX preparation techniques.
Support students in developing clinical reasoning and critical thinking skills.
Collaborate with faculty to align tutoring with course objectives.
