Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital in New York, NY is seeking a Nurses Aide for the Womens & Children's Health Float Pool on the Night shift. You will work at the bedside as a critical care support, monitor vitals, assist with meals, and coordinate transport with nurses and ICU staff to keep the unit running smoothly.

Candidates must have nurse’s aide experience or approved training, a high school diploma, and current CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Must have previous nurse’s aide experience in a hospital setting or certification from an accredited Nurse Aide program, or enrolled in a BSN program with clinical practicum.
• Current CPR Training from the American Heart Association required.
• High School diploma or GED.

• Provide compassionate patient care under supervision of a registered nurse.
• Measure and record temperatures, pulses, respiration and blood pressure.
• Assist with meals delivery and safe patient transport.
• Maintain a clean, safe and comfortable patient environment.

Provide compassionate patient focus and perform select care duties under the supervision of a registered nurse. Improve the patient experience and maintain a safe, clean and healthy environment. Measure and record temperatures, pulses, respiration and blood pressure. Demonstrate what it means to be part of a team and raise the bar for patient care. This is a full time night shift position. Includes rotating weekends and holidays.

Preferred Criteria

• At least one year of experience as a certified nurses aid.

Required Criteria

• Previous Nurse’s aide experience in a hospital setting or certification from an approved accredited Nurse Aid training program or currently enrolled in a BSN program for nursing, at the junior year level or had completed at least one clinical practicum.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Current CPR Training from the American Heart Association required.
