Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital is seeking a Nurses Aide for the Medical-Surgical Nights Float Pool. The role involves bedside care, vital sign monitoring, assisting with meals and transport, and supporting the patient experience under RN supervision.

Candidates should have CNA experience (hospital or approved CNA program) or be enrolled in a BSN with clinical practicum, plus CPR certification. This is a full-time, on-site night shift with rotating weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Required criteria: CNA experience in hospital setting or certification from an approved Nurse Aide training program or currently enrolled in a BSN program with clinical practicum.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Current CPR Training from the American Heart Association.
• Preferred criteria: At least one year of experience as a certified nurses aide.

Responsibilities

• Monitor blood pressure, temperature, pulse and respiration.
• Assist with delivery of meals and safe patient transport.
• Provide comfort and compassionate care to patients.
• Perform select care duties under supervision of a registered nurse.
• Maintain a safe, clean and healthy environment for patients.
• Contribute to improving patient experience and overall care.

Nurses Aide Medical Surgical Nights -Float Pool -Night At NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center, certified nurses aides thrive at the bedside as invaluable care providers. Monitor blood pressure and temperature of patients, while ensuring the delivery of meals and safe transport. So bring your smile to work. Infuse energy and hospitality into a patient's day. Provide comfort and caring as a certified nurses aide at NYP-keeping our fast-paced environments running smoothly. Provide compassionate patient focus and perform select care duties under the supervision of a registered nurse. Improve the patient experience and maintain a safe, clean and healthy environment. Measure and record temperatures, pulses, respiration and blood pressure. Demonstrate what it means to be part of a team and raise the bar for patient care. This is a full time night shift position. Includes rotating weekends and holidays.

Preferred Criteria

• At least one year of experience as a certified nurses aid.

Required Criteria

• Previous Nurse's aide experience in a hospital setting or certification from an approved accredited Nurse Aid training program or currently enrolled in a BSN program for nursing, at the junior year level or had completed at least one clinical practicum.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Current CPR Training from the American Heart Association required.

Salary Range: $29.02-$34.85/Hourly
