Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital at The Allen Hospital is seeking a Nursing Attendant I for the Float Pool on the Evening shift. You will work bedside as a valued care provider, coordinating with nurses and technicians to monitor vitals, assist with meals, and transport patients safely.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current CPR Training from the American Heart Association required.
• Candidates must meet one of the following: nurse's aide experience in a hospital, certification from an approved nurse aide program, or enrollment in a BSN program.

Responsibilities

• Monitor blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration.
• Assist with meals delivery and safe patient transport.
• Provide compassionate care as a nurse's aide under RN supervision.
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable patient environment.

Nursing Attendant I - Float Pool - FullTime- Evening Shift

Provide compassionate patient focus and perform select care duties under the supervision of a registered nurse. Improve the patient experience and maintain a safe, clean and healthy environment. Measure and record temperatures, pulses, respiration and blood pressure. Demonstrate what it means to be part of a team and raise the bar for patient care.

The shift for this position is 3:00pm - 11:00am, including weekends and holidays.

Preferred Criteria

• At least 1 year of nurse's aide experience in an acute care setting

Required Criteria

• High school diploma or GED
• Current CPR Training from the American Heart Association
• Must meet one of the following: previous nurse's aide experience in a hospital setting, certification from an approved accredited nurse aide training program, or current enrollment in a BSN program
