Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian/The Allen Hospital seeks a Nursing Attendant I for the Float Pool on the Evening shift. The role supports bedside care, monitors vital signs, assists with meals and safe transport, and collaborates with nurses and ICU technicians to ensure smooth, patient-centered care.

The position requires at least 1 year of nurse’s aide experience in an acute care setting, a high school diploma or GED, and CPR training.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of nurse's aide experience in an acute care setting.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current CPR training from the American Heart Association.
• Must meet one of: prior nurse's aide hospital experience, accredited nurse aide training, or current BSN program enrollment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor blood pressure, temperature, pulse and respiration; document findings.
• Assist with meals, mobility, transport and patient comfort.
• Provide compassionate care and be a supportive member of the care team.
• Collaborate with registered nurses and other clinicians to ensure patient safety and timely care.

Measure and record temperatures, pulses, respiration and blood pressure. Demonstrate what it means to be part of a team and raise the bar for patient care. The shift for this position is 3:00pm - 11:00am, including weekends and holidays.

• At least 1 year of nurse's aide experience in an acute care setting

• High school diploma or GED
• Current CPR Training from the American Heart Association
• Must meet one of the following: previous nurse's aide experience in a hospital setting, certification from an approved accredited nurse aide training program, or current enrollment in a BSN program
