Job summary

Stanford Health Care seeks an Assistant Patient Care Manager to support clinical management and administrative coordination of a designated unit. You will mentor staff, supervise patient care, and assist the Patient Care Manager in daily operations.

The role requires nursing leadership, 2+ years of related experience, and RN licensure. You will help implement policies, coordinate resources, and promote high-quality, compassionate care in a fast-paced setting at Stanford Health Care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university.
• Two (2) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience.
• RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure And/Or Compact State Licensure

Responsibilities

• Assists in the operational aspects of a designated unit(s) while providing mentoring and leadership support to the unit staff.
• Supervises the provision of quality, therapeutic and cost-effective patient care in accordance with standards of practice and hospital protocols.
• Assists in administrative/management functions and assumes duties of the Patient Care Manager as delegated or in absence.
• Coordinates and directs unit patient care operations for an assigned shift on behalf of the Patient Care Manager.
• Facilitates orientation, training and ongoing staff development; coaches, develops and takes corrective action as appropriate; participates in evaluations of staff.
• Monitors and evaluates patient care processes and outcomes to ensure smooth workflow and desired outcomes.
• Interprets and enforces unit/department policies; communicates expectations and monitors performance.
• Participates in goal setting, program planning, and continuous quality, process, and risk management.
• Provides competent, compassionate patient care and serves as a role model and mentor.
