Job summary

Stanford Health Care is seeking an Assistant Patient Care Manager to support clinical management and administrative coordination on a designated unit. You will supervise staff, ensure quality patient care, and partner with the Patient Care Manager to meet unit goals.

Role requires a Bachelor’s in Nursing and at least 2 years of related experience. This on-site position involves leadership, teaching, and involvement in quality improvement initiatives within a Stanford Health Care unit.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university.
• Two (2) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience.
• Ability to lead, mentor and develop unit staff.
• Knowledge of nursing practice standards and patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Assist in operational aspects of a designated unit(s) while mentoring staff and delivering quality patient care.
• Assist the Patient Care Manager with administrative duties and coverage during shifts.
• Coordinate and direct unit patient care operations for assigned shifts.
• Facilitate orientation, training and ongoing staff development; coach and evaluate personnel.
• Support quality, process improvement and risk management programs at the unit level.
