Job summary

MU Health Care in Jefferson City, Missouri, seeks a Nurse Tech for the Capital Region Medical Center Progressive Care Unit. This full-time night role supports nursing staff with transfers, feeding, and patient care in a fast-paced setting on-site.

Experience in direct patient care or CNA/PCT certification is preferred. Rotating weekends, base pay range is $15.81–$24.92/hour with a $2.00/hour differential for evenings/nights/weekends.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a nursing program or CNA/PCT certification as listed.
• Direct patient care experience within last 3 years qualifies.
• Ability to work Nights and rotate weekends as described.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing/ancillary staff with patient transfers, meals, and feeding.
• Organize workload, answer phones promptly, and relay information clearly.
• Educate and train new Care Team Associates.
• Perform duties per nurse/department requests in routine and emergent situations.
• Assist with hygiene, simple dressing changes, finger sticks, and basic lab specimen handling.
• Enter information promptly into bed-management and respond to patient calls.
