Job summary

Holy Cross Health in Silver Spring, MD, seeks a Nurse Supervisor to lead the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Neuro specialty area during 12 Hour Day shifts. The role requires a BSN, Maryland RN licensure, BLS, and 3+ years of acute care experience, with MSN and PCCN preferred.

• BLS certification; additional life support certifications as required by unit.
• Minimum of three (3) years of acute care RN experience.

• Ensures compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and organizational requirements
• Participates in the development and implementation of patient care standards and clinical workflows

• Facilitates staff orientation, onboarding, and ongoing professional development
• Conducts performance evaluations and provides coaching, mentoring, and corrective action as needed
• Promotes a culture of service excellence and patient-centered care
• Serves as a clinical resource and professional role model for PCU/Neuro staff

Minimum Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in Maryland or Compact State
• BLS certification (American Heart Association); additional life support certifications as required by unit
• Minimum of three (3) years of acute care RN experience

• Prior informal or formal leadership experience in an acute care setting
• Experience in progressive care, neuro, or cardiac patient populations
• PCCN certification preferred (must obtain within six [6] months of hire)

Pay Range: $39.47 – $61.20/hour
Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
