Job summary
State of Colorado is seeking a Nurse III (Nurse Supervisor) at the Denver Correctional Complex to supervise professional nursing care for incarcerated offenders in outpatient clinic, infirmary, or specialized unit settings. You may supervise a unit, shift, or specialized team and may work any shift, weekends and holidays, including on-call duties.
The role requires a current Colorado (or eNLC) registered nurse license and at least three years of related experience; payroll, scheduling, and
Qualifications
- Current, valid licensure as a Registered Nurse from the Colorado Board of Nursing or any state participating in the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC)
- Three (3) years of professional experience in an occupational field related to the work assigned to the position
Responsibilities
- Direct professional nursing care for incarcerated offenders in outpatient clinic, infirmary, or specialized cell house settings
- Coordinate shift operations, supervise nursing staff, and ensure compliance with policies and procedures
- Deliver patient education and manage triage, assessments, and interventions as indicated
