Job summary

NYC Health + Hospitals/Correctional Health Services is seeking an experienced Nurse Supervisor to oversee patient care in a correctional health setting. The role requires New York State RN licensure, BLS certification, and at least three years of nursing experience.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid New York State RN license and current registration.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Minimum of three years of RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care per SOAP notes and unit protocols.
• Coordinates the nursing care within a unit and assigns staff for admissions, treatments, and medications.
• Communicates effectively with physicians, pharmacy, and administrative staff to ensure quality care.
• Ensures compliance with standards, policies, and procedures of the Correctional Health Services.
• Supervises and mentors nursing staff and conducts performance evaluations.
