Job summary

EPIC Healthcare in Philadelphia is seeking a Nursing Staffing Coordinator to maintain current nursing staff schedules and assure adequate patient coverage.

You will generate monthly schedules, balance shift assignments, manage vacations, prepare weekly payroll for the Nursing Department, and reconcile staff availability using Smartlinx. Strong communication and teamwork are essential in this fast-paced facility.

Qualifications

• Staffing coordination experience in a nursing and rehabilitation center or similar setting.
• Ability to multi-task, think on your feet and prioritize in a demanding office environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Generate monthly schedule for the Nursing Department.
• Maintain and balance an adequate staffing schedule/pattern to assure nursing coverage for daily patient care needs.
• Responsible for staff scheduling including work shifts, floor assignments, vacations and other time off, replacing absent employees.
• Maintain daily staffing levels based on par levels using Smartlinx.
• Excellent customer service and the ability to communicate effectively with employees and clients, both on the phone and in-person.
• Prepare weekly payroll for the whole Nursing Department.
• Reconcile daily the number of scheduled staff with the number who reported for duty and make adjustments as necessary.

Position Summary

The Staffing Coordinator is responsible for maintaining a current schedule for assignments of nursing staff that assures adequate coverage to meet the patient care needs of this facility.

• Generate monthly schedule for the Nursing Department
