Prairie Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation in Chicago Heights is seeking a dynamic Staffing Coordinator to manage daily, weekly, and monthly work schedules for the nursing staff.

You will ensure compliance with state laws, regulations, and facility standards while maintaining excellent customer service for residents and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CNA certification required.
• Prior scheduling experience in healthcare preferred.

• Must be able and willing to work as a CNA when short-staffed.

Staffing Coordinator Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
• Prior staff scheduling experience in healthcare preferred
• Basic computer skills
• Strong understanding of nursing staffing needs and forecasting
• Ability to make independent decisions when necessary
• Knowledge of healthcare laws, regulations, and guidelines
• Ability to implement and interpret department policies and procedures
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Must be able and willing to work as a CNA when short-staffed

As a Skilled Staffing Coordinator, You Will:

• Schedule facility staff at appropriate levels as determined by the Director of Nursing (DON)
• Prepare shift schedules and clearly communicate assignments to staff
• Ensure compliance with state staffing requirements and forecast future staffing needs
• Exhibit excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude toward residents and staff
• Assist in emergency evacuations as needed
• Demonstrate dependability and regular attendance
• Read, write, speak, and understand English fluently
• Sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk, and reach intermittently during work hours
