We are seeking an organized, dependable, and proactive Nursing Scheduler to join our skilled nursing team. This position plays a critical role in ensuring appropriate nursing coverage while supporting our CNAs, LPNs, RNs, and nursing leadership.

Job Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain nursing schedules for CNAs, LPNs, RNs, and nursing supervisors.
Ensure appropriate staffing coverage based on facility needs and established staffing requirements.
Monitor daily staffing levels and proactively address open shifts and potential coverage gaps.
Manage call-offs, schedule changes, shift replacements, and employee availability.
Communicate open shifts and staffing needs to nursing employees in a timely manner.
Coordinate with the Director of Nursing, HR, and facility leadership regarding staffing needs.
Track employee availability, requested days off, vacations, leaves of absence, and schedule changes.
Assist with minimizing overtime and agency usage by identifying internal staffing solutions whenever possible.
Maintain accurate scheduling and staffing records.
Assist with onboarding new nursing employees into the schedule.
Communicate professionally and consistently with employees regarding schedules and staffing needs.
Help identify recurring staffing trends and areas of concern.
Maintain confidentiality and follow facility policies and procedures.
Previous scheduling, staffing, healthcare, or administrative experience preferred.
Skilled nursing, long-term care, or healthcare scheduling experience is a plus.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to remain calm and solution-focused when staffing needs change unexpectedly.
Comfortable working with multiple priorities and deadlines.
Strong computer skills and ability to learn scheduling and workforce-management systems.
Dependable, responsive, and able to work collaboratively with nursing and facility leadership.
