Job summary

Hartford HealthCare is seeking a Clinical Nurse Educator in the Greater Manchester region to lead nursing education initiatives and support competency development across the network.

The role partners with nursing leadership to design, deliver and evaluate programs, mentor staff, and advance evidence-based practice while aligning with ANA standards and high reliability. Strong communication and LEAN knowledge are essential for success in a dynamic healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• BSN required with CT RN licensure.
• Minimum of 3 years of active clinical nursing experience.
• At least 1 year in acute care or specialty area; experience as a preceptor.
• CT DPH RN license required before hire date.
• NPD or Clinical Specialty Certification within two years of hire.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Learning Facilitator: Use educational design and adult learning to bridge gaps identified by learning needs assessments.
• Collaborative Partner: Work with nursing leadership to assess needs and develop programs.
• Role Development: Promote professional nursing practice per ANA standards.
• Mentor: Support ongoing professional learning and development of staff.
• Competency Management: Capture knowledge, skills, and performance during practice.
• Orientation: Develop and evaluate onboarding programs for new hires.
• Change Agent: Drive LEAN-based process improvements at multiple system levels.
• Champion of Scientific Inquiry: Promote evidence-based practice and quality improvement.
